In New Zealand a boy threw a concrete block off the bridge onto the motorway and a man was killed by it and he got 4 years.
9 months sends a message to others who think about doing the same thing or something just as stupid.

She should have gotten Community Service, and get her licences taken away. Jail for 9 months is a bit harsh.

Really? The lady and the baby were barley hurt and it was a close call.

If no one had been injured, if nothing had happened, she wouldn't have been punished. She was punished for the accident, not for the crime. The lesson brought out by this is that you'll only suffer if you're caught and that is what's wrong with the justice system.
