Man it was so fucking weird. I woke up and through the gaps of the blinds I saw orange. I thought it was sunset at first - but I never have woken at sunset so I got up, confused, and pushed the blinds aside. Wow, that day at school was fun.

I was doing a test when someone mentioned that it was going orange outside. It was pretty funny.

The sky got pretty orange in Brisbane too! It started around midday I think, I was probably the worst around 4ish. I'm sure it was worse in Sydney and other places further south though!

UPDATE: There has been another tiny dust storm on 26th September, Saturday. It was very small, and was only seen as a tint of orange at 6am.

I woke up at 5 am, and realised the sky was blood red! How freaky is that? And I live like, right in the heart of Sydney! Okay, well, sort of. And I could barely see a thing! My first thought, literally, was "Oh my god, it's the end of the world!" And then I realised I was just being stupid. On the bright side, it cleared up, and my school was closed for the day! I hear there's going to be another one on Saturday, though not as bad. Hope you guys haven't washed your cars yet!

This dust storm woke me up at 7:00am and my room was glowing red/orange (I live in sydney). I thought I was still dreaming and my dream included the sun rising right outside my window hahah. I couldn't go out of the house because it was really thick here and I kept breathing in dust particles and I was getting headaches and feeling all dizzy =( I then slept for another 3 hours and when I woke up, the sky was blue! Talk about weird.....

The dust didn't taste like Skittles. I couldn't taste the rainbow.

Umm, according to my english teacher, unless it's rhetoric, there shouldn't be any questions in an article. But other than that, it was great to read. 8D

I was so freaking scared when I looked out the window yesterday morning. All I saw was BRIGHT yellow and was like "Wtf is going on?" So I raced outside and like dust was everywhere. I'm inNewcastle, so at the time I woke up, there wasn't nearly as much dust as Sydney got.

Seriously though, my first thought was that it was a bushfire and my house and the rest of the houses on the street are like SURROUNDED by bushland. We had a fire there 7 years ago and luckily enough didn't have to evacuate.

My second thought was that that's what the end of the world would probably look like. I mean, supposedly the world is meant to end in 3 years, and I was freaked out that maybe this is the beginning of that.

V Eep! There's on old valcono where I live.

Nah... I'm pretty sure that one is extinct considering there's not even a 100% certainty that it was a volcano. Plus it's covered in bushland.

This is really starting to scare me.

First bushfires, then floods, two earthquakes, dustorms, more minor earthquakes...And for the scariest part, researchers have discovered that our volcano's are NOT exist. They're over due.
    Heres the link:

In all honesty, I'm surprised we don't get dust storms like this more often (ok, I'm sure they happen out in the desert a lot, but still) considering most of our country is just red dirt, it amazes me this doesn't happen more.

That being said, I slept through most of it. When I woke up everything was kind of sepia toned, but it wasn't bright like in the morning.
