Wow, I visited New Zealand in the summer for two weeks with a group of friends. I can't believe this. NZ is such a beautiful country with beautiful people. I'm so sorry for them :/ my heart goes out to them <3

Yeah having the buses back is good. I noticed the lack of bread in the supermarkets and couplands today. I've been trying to get a copy of the press but had no such luck.

It felt really weird not having aftershocks today.. Hope we don't have another night like last night.

Having the buses back will make things feel kind of normal at least, even though it will be awhile before normal is normal.

Yeah, I hate the aftershocks when I'm inside the house, but they're alright outside.

Some supermarkets are out of bread now 'cause some people have been very inconsiderate. =\

At least the buses restart tomorrow. But this is NOT a good time before the mocks.

Yep. 88 So far. We had no structural damage, which was good. Still kinda freaked out with the aftershocks, Not sure if its just me, but they seem to be getting regularly stronger. 22 so far today and most have been 3.6+, with most of them being over 4.0

88? Far out. I experienced this too (the only thing that we've had broken was our roof and chimney and a few replaceable things). Hope you're alright with all of it. Arms

I experienced this. I've never been so scared in my life. I woke up about 2 seconds before it hit us, and we suffered minimal damage compared to much of our city. I lost my laptop, and we lost some ornaments and photo frames. Thats nothing compared to the rest of the city. We're in a state of emergency, and We have to boil water before we drink it, or anything. Our central city is cordoned off, and theres about $2 billion worth of damage. We've had about 88 aftershocks so far with more expected, including one with a magnitude of at least 6.0.
