If Britain gets a public holiday, Australia better as well. If I have to put up with hearing about this crap, I want some compensation.

Well basically it's because the Royal family doesnt mean much to us, yes we're happy to have a monarchy and all that but they really are just like a rich family at the end of the street, the only time we see the Queen is at christmas and everytime we spend some money.
Harry is the only one who has even emerged from the palace for a large ammount of time to go in the army and even Harry isnt pleasant, he's a bit racist as is Prince phillip and we have the whole Diana death scandal so we're all a little suspicious all of the time.

Why is it that the British aren't as excited as the Americans? I thought they'd be just as, if not more, happy and excited.

To be fair we in Britain dont really care much for the Royal family, I think the Americans seem a trifle more enthusiastic than us.

I think it's funny how everyone here in the UK are just concerned with how much it's going to cost us. When, in actual fact, it will probably bring more money into the country what with the extra tourism and the sale of all the commemorative rubbish as well. Plus, it's keeping a lot of people (including my father) in a job.

Oh, and it's going to be a national holiday. DAY OFF WORK xD

Im happy for them. Finally the Queen has let her grandchildren have a say in thier lives! And he gave her Dianas ring so she could be 'with them'. So sweet.
