Oh, I'm the same with ideas. My mind goes at a million miles per minute that I can't get it all down.
Concentrate on one thought it may help and shape it better.
By the way, it is exceptionally annoying when an image of artwork you had in your head doesn't come out the way you wanted it to on the page. >.<
Practice and it's good you're seeing a teacher. They help a lot. Most of the time though the teacher just tells me: "It's fine, don't know why you came to me."
It's be cool to be a really good artist and highly recognised. =]
