Oh I know that, they are very different bands in numerous ways. It was purely for an example of one genre of music comapred to another.

I don't think MCR and Green Day can really compare.
I'm sorry, but it's true.
Green Day are just.. pioneers of our kind really.
They play music because they like it (Im sure MCR does too)
but you just can't put them in the same catergory.

I know that everyone has their own tastes and there is something for everyone out there, what I'm angry about is the comparing a band whose sole purpose of making music is to be famous and make money to people who make music because they adore it and want to reach out to people.
To me the quality fo music that the PCD produce is no where near the quality that the likes of Green Day and co produce.
I also know that not everyone is in to MCR.

point is, record companies, people in general don't give a shit.
everyone wants their cash and their five minutes of fame.
usually, people grow out of being stupid but unfortunatly for some

People have their own tastes. That's why those other bands exist. Cause not everyone is into MCR.

My cousin was playing cascada over and over and on the fifth time i was fuming. She was trying to get me to like her but it made me worse. She was constantly ragging on bands I like, like pixies, mcr, the misfits. It pissed me off so badly.

Music like that is a bad example for people who want to write about real things. not about hooking up with guys and saying fuck you right back!

their tunes are catchy, catchy music sells.
I spose if they're getting money, it doesnt matter what images are sent to eight year old girls.
they do have good voices and can dance well, i'll give them that.
but I guess some people dont or cant be bothered venturing out on their own to find music.
their music is given to them from the radio.
why dont they find their own tastes? perhaps because they're scared of falling from what's 'average'. or just really cant be screwed.
its annoying. cause there is such good music out there. but they wont stray from the radio
