Teenage engagement is ridiculous. I think teenagers just want to feel more grown up so they say they're engaged, or they feel dating no longer suffices (why? I don't know) after like, a month, so they decide they need to be engaged to "take it to the next level". Kids that young don't realize how much you and your significant other are still going to change throughout your teen years, nor do they realize that love DOESN'T last forever, and that you're very likely to meet someone else even before graduation.

I know, you don't have to be engaged to love each other is another point.
It probably will become a fashion statement, unless it already has o__o
    Thanks for the advice (:
I won't interfere. Just have to be there when it falls apart, I guess.

I agree totally. There is about 11 people in my just my year alone whom are engaged and do have unprotected sex. It is silly because they are too young but also becasue it dosn't take a piece of gold around your finger to prove that you love one another.
i think you touched on something that eventually will become a fashion satment for people in high school. and as for you friend, it sounds like a similar case my best friend was caught in but it is best to let her realise her own mistakes because if you get involved she'll end up resenting you for interfering. Its basicaly a phase she going through to get over her last boyfriend.
