The don't careabout most places in Bristol either where I used to live. The goverment dolls up any places that my have tourists and forgets those who really need it.
I agree, though the familys cannot be compketely to blame. The kids had choices and they made them.
I used to live in one of the most rundown places in the uk, i know how people can react through poverty, and I can see that not everything would have been easy for them. I blame the goverment more than the parents because if they put more effort into eductaion and funding for some areas, they may have made other choices.
I don't know,I'm from their neck of the woods and I've seen the way people interact with each other in times of poverty, we live in a totally adult centred society, and the governemtn is completely centralised.
This would never have happened if the UK was a more child friendly place and poorer families were educated to raise their children well.
We sudied this in English. We all agreed that they shouldn't have been let out so soon, but thats one of the faults in our goverment. They say that if your under sixteen your not entierly responsable for your actions. I think the age should be lowered. it would have to be exceptional reasons to get eight years at any other age, and these boys were fully aware of what they were doing.
