Thank-you for your comments. And I do understand the statement about breaking the stereotypes of vampires, yes, I agree. But seriously, sparkles? There's other ways to be original in re-creating an old myth (Or truth) rather than some body glitter, very Hollywood indeed.
I read the books about 6 months before the movies emerged, to see what all the fuss was about, hoping that after each page things might get a little better. Evidently not. One can only hope.
Once again, "I've decided to vent my frustration." I know it has been said. I'm allowed to vent. I dislike these books with a vengance.
Hmm. I'm not disagreeing with you, because it's your opinion, but where you said : Smeyer, can you please research vampires before you attempt to write a book about them? Maybe she didn't want to go along with the whole stereotypical description of vampires, like Anne Rice. It doesn't really hurt to break the mould.
