I enjoyed the book. Let's get that out in the open.

I agree that fans take it way too far. There are days when I get sick of Twilight because it's become such a big fashion statement.

I would argue that reading the book won't hurt. I can understand you being put off by the amount of screaming teenies out there who think you know the book backwards because I've been there. You are judging the book by its cover quite literally but I respect your opinions and I'm not going to badger.

Can we just shut up on Twilight now? It's getting way annoying.

    It's getting ridiculous.
I remember when I knew two people that read the book, and no one else knew what it was about.
Next thing I know, I see a group of chicks at the mall with Team Edward shirts on, "Oh my, God. He is sooooo hott."

I love the book. I went to see the movie the day it came out. But that doesn't make it the best book I've read, or the best movie I've seen. 'Cause it isn't.
    I don't know anymore.

Ba Jesus, I really wonder how this book became such a cult?
Its sad and strange. It really is getting out of hand.
Hope Stephine Mayer will deal with this because she started this and she should say something.

btw that girl with the acid. Hoooolllly Shi-, Are you Fu*king kidding me?

Dancing Caveman -- wouldn't it be nice to have a classic love story where the women were drawn with as much depth as the men, though?

I'm disliking your use of everyone. Not everyone who's read the books and watched the film is obsessed, I quite liked them, I'm not obsessed.

And how do you know that vampires don't love and drive and what not? They don't exist, and if they did then most legends about them suggest they were people, so they can do what people do... Interview with a Vampire, Louis didn't want to kill people, Blade, the bloke in that doesn't want to kill people, there are others that I can't be bothered to think of right now, but meh.

I do, however, dislike the sparkly bit. It seems to be taking the flaw of being a vampire (burning in sunlight) and making it perfect. When it's not.

I agree that Twilight's getting out of hand and selling out and that half of the fans, mostly new teenies (does anyone else find it sad that books now have teenies?), are immensly annoying.

The books are simple, yes, but they're good for a quick read. Stephenie Meyer just made her own vampires which isn't that uncommon. You never know if you'll like the books until you try them but it's your own choice.

I personally think people are making up the attacks. Besides, the books aren't making people crazy, if the things the Twilight fans are said to be doing is true. They'd just get bent out of shape over something else. Crazy is still crazy.

As far as the girls looking shallow and crap- it's a classic love story. It happens. It doesn't mean that it represents the entire world of women. Geez. I mean, if you complain about Twilight because of that, then you need to go hate on Romeo and Juliet, The House of Mirth, Madame Bovary, The Coquette, and like a million and two other cannon romance novels. It's just what happens, and it doesn't change females into subservient little creatures (Religion takes care of that in society).

The movie sucked IMO. The books were not far behind...
