V. Bahah, The Soup is the only way I hear about anything in "pop culture," for the most part. xDMay 22nd, 2009 at 01:17am

The Soup was the only way I heard this kid sing. And every time they played a clip I cringed a little. Especially that Johnny Cash cover. I have never heard a song butchered so bad... not even any of Limp Bizkit's covers are that horrible!May 22nd, 2009 at 01:14am

:(
v. Now that you mention The Soup clip, I do remember that. I was quite disturbed. I'm a Johnny Cash fan.May 22nd, 2009 at 01:11am -
He got major popular after his extremely freaky rendition of Ring Of Fire. I did NOT like that, at all.
I saw a clip of that on The Soup and nearly cried. It was HORRIBLE! And I think most people remember Clay Aiken. Runner up and did better than whoever the winner was that year. Pretty much anyone in the top ten gets a record contract...May 22nd, 2009 at 01:08am -
I thought it didn't work the first time I hit submit, so I clicked it again. And then boom, my comment's on there twice, haha.May 22nd, 2009 at 01:04am

V. Bahaha, I love Sharon Osbourne. And yeah, I've seen a few episodes of it before; it was pretty sad.May 22nd, 2009 at 12:59am

Gah, lucky we don't get American Idol over here! although we have an equivalent called 'The X Factor' which majorly sucks. I mean...it's always predictable who is going to win and nowadays it's not a talent show it's more like who has the most tragic story behind them. i know I sound harsh because some people do want to go on that show to prove themselves for their loved ones but do we have to hear every single one of them?!
I only used to watch it when Sharon Osbourne was a judge. She's amazing!
Plus, Britain's Got Talent is far better due to the more variety in acts. Instead of just singing it's all sorts!
Anyway, that was off topic. The only thing i've heard of this Adam is the cover he did of '4 Non Blondes - What's Going On.' Which was okay but I agree with what you said. If he has been good enough to cause such rabble then I'm sure he won't be dissappearing any time soon.May 22nd, 2009 at 12:58am -
v. Hahha, the same words? How weird. Yeah, I didn't really like his voice that much, and his costumes freaked me out. D:May 22nd, 2009 at 12:53am

v Sorry. Clicked the thing twice on accident.May 22nd, 2009 at 12:51am

Agreed. 100 %. I've been thinking this exact thing since last night. I even used the phrase "he didn't disappear off the face of the earth." Haha. He didn't lose cause he's gay. If that were the case, he wouldn't have made it to the top two. And, yeah, he's got some talent, but he IS kind of annoying, and he's not an amzing singer. A great showman, but actually a rather blah singer.
He got major popular after his extremely freaky rendition of Ring Of Fire. I did NOT like that, at all. I'm not a Johnny Cash fan, but I like that song, and it was brutally murdered. I wasn't thrilled by Adam to begn with, and lost all respect for him after that performance.
Was Kris the most talented singer there? No. But neither was Adam, and he probably already has a record deal with somebody. So, everyone needs to quit whining. Seriously.May 22nd, 2009 at 12:51am -

Don't like it, ignore it. But, yes, I agree. But, really, I'm sure anyone can make a journal about whatever they want.May 22nd, 2009 at 12:36am

Lol. <--- That's a good 'lol', not a bad one.May 22nd, 2009 at 12:28am
It's so not necessary.
1. It's a TV Show.
2. If Adam is as brilliant and as fantastic and as awesome and as god-like as everyone seems to be saying (or at the very least carrying on as though he is) he'll have a successful career regardless of whether or not he won idol.
