i know what it's like to lose a best friend. not exactly like your case, but it happened. even if you're friends with someone for a while, people usually change to the point where you don't want to be friends with that person anymore. for a while, my friend and i stopped talking, but now be and her are friends again. not besties, but eventually you and her will probably come to terms with everything.
