I read that back in middle school (years and years ago). Even then, when my expectations in fiction were so much lower than they are now, I couldn't get through it without wondering if the author was on crack when she wrote it. What a horrid book. It's almost as bad as Twilight.July 2nd, 2009 at 05:18am

i have never read this series but i knew people who did that liked it but after reading this i will not be reading it i liked Twilight but everyone has there opinions but this series just seems dumb and it is unlikely that she would be the only goth girl.July 2nd, 2009 at 02:21am

I haven't heard of this book/series, but after seeing this, I don't want to read it either.
Though, I wanted to be a vampire when I was little, I watched Interview With a Vampire and wanted to be like Claudia, and I watched few other vampire movies, but I can't remember the titles.
When I was younger(and going through a very embarrassing goth phase), I was the only gothic person in my old high school, so I can relate to that a bit.
But overall, come on now! Vampires do not fall in love with mortals, and if they do, they better have a damn good reason to(even in fictional books)!
I hate that vampires are being turned into a big pile of mushy goo. >=(July 2nd, 2009 at 01:57am -
I can get the goth having a sporty side, but it sounds way too unrealistic, why would she be the only one?And srysly Jocks do not hit on the freaky emo kid 0.oJuly 2nd, 2009 at 01:44am

I read the second one. (don't ask) and was fairly disgusted. It was really cheesy, and seemed like it was written by a slightly talented twelve year old writer. It was sort of like some cliche stories on Mibba; where the main character is an emo-ish outcast, and essentially every other kid around them is a prep. *rolls eyes*
Anyhoo, I agree with you. That series is so blah.July 2nd, 2009 at 12:50am
i wrote a journal about the second one, actually. :tehe: so i feel your pain.
i have to admit that i really really really like alexander sterling's name though. -headdesk- it's so frickin catchy. hate HIM though.
