Yeah, in your opinion. Since you're not the only person on here, I'd say just skim over them on the overview page and ignore them. They're not going away.
I kind of hate excessive swearing and CAPS. It makes it really difficult for me to take that person's opinion seriously, because they sound so childish like that.
Rants about nothing important.
Kinda like this?
It's relative to the state of Mibba's journal section. I wouldn't say it's amazingly necessary, but it's not unimportant.
v It's okay to be so picky about your writing, but getting all bent out of shape because someone else made an easily excusable mistake is a little much, you know?
v. Grammar is all I've got. Apparently I can't write worth shit lately, so I try my best to make sure most of the things I write are grammatically correct... I've become major OCD over it myself, so I can't help but pick stuff like that out.
× No structure. Yeah, it's good to have structure, but it's not required. This is a journal, not a well written essay.
× Grammatical errors. Those are easy mistakes. If it's filled with bad grammar then I get annoyed. But little things? No big deal. Oh, and you need a comma after your "their," not a period.
× Rants about nothing important. I think rants about this is nothing important.
× Journal titles like "HELP!" and "omg. n e 1 wana rede tis?!". Maybe you care about eye-catching titles, but all they care about is getting help so they didn't think it over when they put those up, and I think that's okay. [except the chat speak kind]
× Comment for Comment. I think the journals is a good place to "whore your stories" because a lot of people interact here. Not everyone really goes to the forums, you know? Besides, it's not against the rules or anything, and it doesn't affect you if they make a "Comment for Comment" deal.
Everyone has their little piss-offs. I just find structure is a huge thing. I can read a huge , pointless rant as long as it's easy to read, and not an angsty journal.
With your second point: someone can be in the moment of writing where they don't realize they've used the wrong word. I've done it. You've probably done it. Unless they're constantly doing it, it shouldn't be anything to flip over.
About comments for comments: those aren't allowed in journals anyway. You can whore your story all you want in journals. That's nothing wrong with talking about it or putting a link to it. I do it all the time. It's a great way to get readers.
structure ; I think that's good in a journal but sometimes you write a journal quick and you don't realize. Reallypeople will write what they want to write.
Everybody, even you, make mistakes. Grammatical errors will be made. Nobody is perfect with that.
Rants about nothing important : That's why they are rants. People want to complain and rant and to them it could be important.
Journals like HELP! and omg n e 1 wana rede tis : Maybe they do want advice and they are just saying that they want help straight forward.
Commment for Comment : I do this. I think it's good to hear another person's opinion about what you write and you get to read others stories. Who knows they could be really good but you would never read them because you wouldn't be able to find them.
