That is a terrible thing to do to someone. If teachers are doing that then I don't think I would trust those teachers that well.

Ugh. Yes. The same type of stuff would happen in my school, too. Like, there was this boy who had trouble walking because he had Cerebral Palsy, and these other boys would always push him down in the hallway.

And then there was this other boy who had severe autism and had to stay in the Special Needs class, but he was always so friendly (which is uncommon for autism). He'd go up to a bunch of different people to talk to them, and one time, this group of stupid little freshman preps called him over to "flirt" with him. As he was walking away to go to class, one of the girls loudly said, "God he's so retarded!" I wanted to punch her, but I was 18, and that would've ended badly.

That's just awful! I honestly can't stand that kind of behaviour. It's cruel, inhumane and just plain heartless.

It is terrible, it shouldn't actually matter whether the person has a disability or not they're just people. People who deserve respect and friendship just as much as anyone else. Whoever makes fun of them is manipulative and evil. It's so wrong whether it's telling them to do something or excluding them from a conversation it's wrong. All aspects of bullying is wrong but at that level it's sickening.

v It really is terrible. And unfortunately at my school it is common. Basically everyone knows who the kids with the disabilities are and they may say hello. But they only say hello to make a joke or begin some conversation and ask the kid personal questions or say offensive things to them. It's disgusting.

I really must agree. Bullying someone like me is totally different. I'm thick skinned and can fight back. But kids with disabilities? How cruel could you get? That's not only wrong, it's offensive to how America was in the fifties.

Only a couple bad kids in the bunch, with loads of wholesome, nice people.

    It's a terrible thing.
