I agree with A.Broken.Mess. You don't sound cheesy at all. I feel the same way abou the guy that I like. Like you said, we don't mean to like them, and sometimes we don't even want to. It just... happens.

And, abou the filling, I would pissed if I were your dentist and I just gave you the filling and then you pull it out. Lol.
