...I don't always take fourteen year olds seriously. Because too many of them say and do stupid or off the wall things. *shrugs* Even if you're mature, at 14 you don't really know a lot about life. I know you're going to disagree, but that's fact. I was mature for my age at fourteen too; and I've changed so much, experienced so much, and seen so much in just a few years since then that I have enough proof that at fourteen, you're a kid. Sorry; but you are. And you will be a kid for another few years.
Aelf, I think you're one of my favorite Mibbians, right now.
She's completely right, too. No matter what your age is, you're going to be looked at a certain way. I don't like having to say "deal with it" as a response to such complaints, but...well...
When you're 14 no-one will listen to you. When you're 15 through 17 everyone will dismiss your opinions as angst. When you're 18 or 19, they will call you naive. When you're 20 you'll be labeled a smart-ass. When you're 21 they'll call you a jerk. When you're 22 through 30 you will be a conformist. When you're 31 through 50 you will be a has-been. When you're 51 through 60 you will be dismissed as an eccentric. And when you're 61 + you will be elderly, and no longer considered capable of rational thought.
