i Live in Cicero which is pretty close to Chicago but theres this place called KLAS they have really awesome concert there ,and then theres another place In Berwyn called The Nite Light cafe they have pretty cool concerts there too

Most places aren't even around anymore. Chicago needs a new punk scene. Or at least get this one going. I honestly haven't seen much of one around here. Last punk gig I went to a lot of people were from the 'burbs or even farther.

If anywhere in Illinois:
There's this bar/restaurant called Ballydoyle in Downers Grove. They have live music just about every weekend I'm pretty sure. Sometimes during the week. I've never been in there during a gig but I've heard they're usually good.

In Chicago there's Reggie's Rock Club. I've never been there, but some bands I've wanted to see play there. They do host some local acts. You'll have to look on the schedule.

That's all I know of other than the typical gigs like the Metro and Vic Theater.
