    It's a tough one. And I'm going to be brutally honest (don't hate me):
    I think you're expecting too much.

    Think about it from their side; you haven't been around for 18 years. Regardless of how much they missed you and hated you never being there, it's going to take time for them to get used to you being in their lives again. 6 months really isn't a long time you know.

    You should definitely keep in contact, keep making the effort to see them and be around them so they get the message that you're not going to go away againn. And when things get tough, turn to someone close to you for support.

    You are good enough. Maybe your father's side of the family resent him and the whole drugs issue. It's awkward to have you back in their lives and maybe because he's your Dad, they just don't feel like making the effort.

    I think you should tell your half sister how it makes you feel.. or maybe try to stay in contact with her at least.
