I can't say much because I am still tripping over stupid for my exboyfriend (though in his defense, he didn't leave me for another girl and he didn't beat me up), but still. I think you are making a mistake. You don't need him. I know it feels like you do, trust me, I am living through the same shit. I feel like I need AJ to make me happy. I feel like without him, I have nothing, and it's wrong and stupid and I am sick and tired of crying over someone who is never going to love me the way I love him.

Your boyfriend is going to do the same thing again. He is only trying to change now to get you back, and once he has you, he is going to revert into the same bitch ass he was before. It isn't right, it isn't fair for you. You are, how old? Sixteen? You still have your WHOLE life to find someone who is better and treats you right. Don't settle now.
