I'm sure that God isn't ignoring you. And I don't think he's punishing you either.
I wish I could answer all of your questions, but I don't think I can.
it's kind of funny because I just read something that had a lot to do with stuff you're talking about going through.
    http://prodigalmagazine.com/god-are-you-ignoring-me/
    Read it, if you'd like.
If not, all I can say is that despite what seems to be the case, God's still there.
And He's still crazy about you. He's got everything under control, and maybe this is a part of His plan.
I don't know if I helped at all, but I hope your situation gets better. :]

I'm not a believer and I think, just like you, that the Bible is just bullshit. It's a harsh word but it just fits with everything that's in it. My grandmother is a strong believer and she works in a church where she lives and it makes her happy. And that is totally okay with me. If people believe in "him" and it makes them happy then I'm not gonna try and ruin it for them. But if they start to talk about it when I'm around then I'm gonna say what I think. It usually makes them angry but I've a right to speak my mind just as much as they do.

    "New topic"
I'm a big fan of Supernatural (the tv show) and after I had watched one episode about the apocalypse I got curious to see what it stood in the Bible about it. So I read through Revelations and I got surprised big time. I thought that "God" would save everyone who had been faithful to him but it read that he would mark the descenders of some important family's! Only them! I didn't understand how many it would be but it didn't sound like many. He isn't going to save everyone and that surprised me that people believe that they will be saved when judgment day comes. So in some ways I'm curious about the whole "God" thing and in some ways I'm not. But I'm not a believer!

Well, I'm a catholic and.. I like going to Durham cathedral each Sunday, but... do what you want, it isn't exactly gonna make you a bad person by not going to church. I know many catholics, protestants... I THINK and such who don't go to Church.

You can do church on the TV! or net! Become a tech-religion person!

Our world, sadly, is this horrible because of us Humans pretty much screwed up the world.

But ANYWAYS, i'm going through what your going through right now. My parents talk or suggest something about God. I always roll my eyes or say "pshh whatever." I also hate going to church and what not. It's sort of hard to stop thinking these thoughts. We ALL made some sort of mistake. But God is not punishing you. You will soon see he was always there and will help you through all this. :)

Hope i made some sense :] lol

Eh, I consider myself agnostic. But being raised Catholic and attending Catholic school gives me some perspective.

Stories like Noah's Ark and Jonah and The Whale aren't necessarily true. They were supposedly written to prove a point. And all sins aren't equal. There are sins of omission and mortal sins. A sin of omission being cursing, and a mortal sin being murder.

Of course, I'm only preaching the Catholic point of view. If you're a Baptist or something, I don't know.

    v. Nu uh. He's an old grumpy man. An alcoholic, who has admitted to breaking many commandments and rules of being a priest. He is very old-fashioned and now seems to despise me... Oh well. XD

Never.Fading.Rain:I’m glad I was because of all these people I know who want to be Atheist but there family tries to stop them. I was taught to believe what you want and to never allow anyone to take you down and crush those beliefs.

Oh yeah never do that, or tell a religious nut. They tend to get a little….crazy.

    I'm sorry if I sounded pissed. >_>
I don't know if the addition to the journal was addressed to me, but I'm not mad or anything. >_>

Just as a general statement, I think anyone that takes the first, tiny step of faith will see God. If you believe that He might exist, and accept Him and His Son's sacrifice, you'll begin to see Him.
I'll be praying for all you guys. :)

    v. I wish my family was atheist. We're not strict about it or anything, but my great uncle is a priest and he hates me. ><

Never tell a priest you don't believe in god, they get pissed.

Well I’m Atheist, and my family is also, so I was never taught about the bible or anything. So I never heard those stories and I never had doubts about my belief. But my advice is to live life how you want to and to not worry about pleasing any one. I can’t really give good advice, but it may be hard now but try to fight through it because you have to swim through the dirty waters to get to where its clean and fresh. Lame I know...but hey its kind of true.

I felt like that for the longest time, too, I know how it is. :/
But a few years ago I was at rock bottom, fell to my knees, and He was just...there.

I agree, it's a bad world. But it's what we've made it; He gave us free will, and we've messed up the world.

I just want to say right off the bat that I do not believe in god. I wish I did, it make thinks a little less dark and maybe I would not be as scared as i am of death. All I can tell you that if things go bad you have to do whatever it is to make things go good again. Things in life are only what we make my advice is to stop hoping and take action. I'm sorry if this doesn't help and i am sorry if I offended.
