I don't like Twilight all that much...I mean I used to but it's just sooo overrated and people talk about it and are obsessed with it waayyyyy too much. Just like Justin Bieber. So I don't care for them. Sorry. :]

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one with this opinion, the thing is that I bet that in years time another "bestseller" will come out and it will be it, over and over again. ;))

On a sort of similar note, I went to the new vampire movie 'Daybreakers' last night. It was, to say the least, excellent. At least, in my opinion. A bit far fetched, but great to watch.

One thing that made me laugh, though, was that Ethan Hawke's character was named "Edward."

    Hah.

In a bookstore, there was a recommendation on Twilight which said; "The book that's even MORE popular than Harry Potter!"
Uh, no. And also, why does every book with only a little bit of magic has to be compared to Harry Potter? And the same with Twilight. I choose to overhear everyone who rants about how great True Blood is because it's so Twilighty.

I had an original, non-paranormal, non-romance fiction compared to Twilight. The poster didn't say it was 'just like Twilight', though, but rather that it was better. So I was okay with that.

But to be fair, a lot of the books that jumped on the Twilight bandwagon were deliberate imitations. So to an author trying to emulate Twilight, being called 'Twilight-esque' is probably the ultimate compliment.

It only sucks for the rest of the world.
