This is a lie. Seriously, even Disney have enough sense to realise that they'll be trampled on by 3 million nerds if they ever did that.

Spiderman is far from being a 'little pubescent hero'! The films do not do him justice. He's an everyman, like Shaun Riley. Out to get on with daily life and get his physics homework in on time or whatever it is that he does. Batman is selfishly motivated and granted he's exceptionally cool and currently has Christian Bale's deeeeep voice, he's still doing it from choice. Peter Parker has no choice! Like Buffy!

I'm pretty sure Robert Pattinson being the new Spider Man is just a rumour.

For some reason he seems like the sort of person who would rather stick to Indie films than block buster stuff (just going off the sort of movies he's been in- Twilight aside and the fact he seems to really hate media attention)

What the fudge! Is Rob.P going to destroy more happy things for me!? I hate him, why can't he die!!!!!!! All he can do is look like he is sad! Jeez!

Woah. Woah. I heard that Tobey Macguire wasn't playing Spider-Man but I never heard that Robert Pattinson was playing him! That makes me UBER mad. It's gonna be HORRIBLE. Didn't they get a new director or something for it too? Well it's still gonna suck. And Spider-Man is my favorite superhero. =( I hate to admit it, but this time, Batman wins.................*sigh*
