Just because you don't have a solid plan doesn't mean you're 'letting the chips fall where they may'. At sixteen all you really need is a vague direction in life- as in, would you like to go to uni, get a job, stay here or move interstate? You don't need to know exactly what you want to study or work as, or where you want to be ten years from now.

Sometimes making solid plans about those things will only limit you in future, or make you feel powerless when you change your mind or things don't go to plan. You really need to get some life experience and try a few things before you can know for certain what's right for you. That's not to say that the best plan is no plan, only that the best plans are open-ended.

Good luck with whatever you do,
