I agree with Aelf. He probably is crushing on you. Lots of guys use the same methods these days. Its the typical way to act around the girl they like.

And on facebook, everyone adds everybody, so you adding him shouldn't be so awkward.

Okay, well let me tell you one thing firstly. When a guy teases a girl, be he five years old or fifty, it usually means the same thing. We have no social skills, thus this is the only way of getting attention we know.

Today I found his facebook. I wanted to request him, but I didn't want to seem pushy and desperate. So I didn't.

It's facebook. The whole point of it is to friend people you barely know without the repercussions of awkwardness. Go for it!
