If you like someone yelling out their name with the word gross afterwards probably isn't a smart idea. From what I read, I believe he liked you and most likely still does. If you still like him, the best thing to do would be to reassure him that you are still available and interested. Some boys are intimidated easily, he was probably blown off my that name calling as simple as it may have been.
You should make the first move and start talking a lot again, show him your confidence.
