I don't think the labels are the main problem, but it's the stereotypes that are. Just because someone fits into the description of a stereotype doesn't make them the label associated with it..People in my school have judged me on appearance as long as I remember and you just have to learn to get used to it..

If there were no labels, you wouldn't be able to find the right type of cereal. File

I have a freind who said that once. Someone asked if she were gothic, and she pointed out everyone who was wearing black, and even the girl who asked was wearing black, so my friend asked, "No, are you?" I admired her for that.

I don't care about labels, but judgeing someone just by what they wear is stupid. I see it all the time at my school.

Labels don't piss me off. Judging does. If someone treats someone bad because of a label, that does. But labels themselves don't bother me. Never have. Because there's nothing wrong with it. There's something wrong with being rude about it or treating something like shit 'cause of it.

The stupidity of people never ceases to be amusing and saddening. You shouldn't be judged by what you wear or what you listen to. And who says your preferences have to be limited based on what stereotype you supposedly fit into? the cutting thing cracked me up. Lol.
