I'm Dying My Black Hair Blonde - Comments

Yes I have, and I dyed it orange and yellow. Not all of it that is. It came out fairly good and I did it at home. Currently though my hair is red, think dark red, though red nonetheless.

Well, I'm done now, just waiting for the toner. It turned a light reddish brown, and I'm hoping the toner will take some of the red out. And I don't think I'll be able to go to the salon anymore, it's late, and I'm begging my dad to just take me anywhere because the way I part my hair would show the blonde too much, and I want only the bottom half to show really.

I'm terrified to dye my own hair! My mom has always threatened me that if I even let a pair of scissors (in my own hands) or a type of hair dye (from a store) touch my hair, she'd flip a shit.

Therefore, I've basically learned to not touch my hair. I've always had to go to a salon to get my hair done.

I've dyed my friend's hair before though! We tried to go blonde but it turned out awkward - she has naturally chocolate brown hair but she dyed it black. Her roots turned out a pretty nice blonde but everything else turned out copper. Eurgh.

Several years ago, I got highlights, but that's about it.

I've never done it myself, but most of the time, I do it at home with my mom's help.

I've bleached my hair three times, I believe. The first was just to get it blond, that turned out bad. The second and third time was to make it blue, which ended up turning out blue. I didn't have enough bleach to do it, because I have so much hair.

I ended up going back to black anyway, haha.

I've bleached my hair at home twice in the past couple weeks, and than colored it first green and now blue.

Oohh, have fun with that. Don't worry if it looks bad though, because like you said you're going to a salon eventually anyway. =]

I've done my hair a well variety of colors. Red, blonde, highlights, bleached, blue, purple, pink, green.... xD

I've bleached my hair twice by myself. My hair went from chocolate brown to a corn flower blonde. Just be sure to condition it well through out the process. It took four boxes of bleach until it came out in one shade, and even then, parts of my hair were darker than the others.

But yeah, condition a lot and don't use too much shampoo.

I'd probably never bleach my hair. That's so damaging to it. Every time I've dyed my hair it's been in either a salon or I had a friend/my mother do it.
