Wow. And I don't mean that in a negative way, because I know EXACTLY how you feel.
Honestly, for about a year, I was pissed off at my best friend because she had more T-shirts of our favorite band than I did. I mean, I still get a little pissed when I go over to her house because she has our favorite band plastered all over her room. It's a little rediculous, so I know how you feel.
And as for other people saying they love that same band? I get just like you. It also ticks me off.
I think, when people like us get REALLY into our music we think that us and only us alone are allowed to like that band. Kind of a sort of possesiveness. It might be just natural, I'm not really sure. I mean, I'm 18 and I've been that way for about 4 years now...
Maybe over time it will just wear off.
...Eventually.
Well, I know exactly how you feel. But I just try to tell myself that just because they like them, doesn't mean that they're their number #1 fan. But it is annoying. You feel like they've taken away your individuality. (Well, that's how I feel anyway.)
But I think the most annoying thing is when they are singing the lyrics and get them painfully wrong. That's just... Well, painfull.
:P
