v. I like original fictions too, however I think it's unreasonable to push all fanfictions over an edge as if all the original stories are all brilliant. Like I said earlier, it all depends on the author.
Apart from Take A Breath, I've never mentioned said famous person being famous. They've just been an incredibly great guy that I hold a great appreciation for.
Meh, I think when people write fanfiction, it's more of them using the persons name and face, rather than trying to recreate their life. Which is what people do when they're creating OF's, I'm always seeing someone use a scene queen's picture or name for their female, and some emo boy for their males. *shrugs*
v. Merci, my friend. Besides, some who write fanfiction may chose famous people, like Gerard Way and Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, and then they change their personalities and put them in a completely new situation, so that people leave comments like "if their names were different I wouldn't even guess it was them" ... because I so haven't recieved those comments coughFreakcough
Mibba is a writing site. So that includes fiction and fanfiction. It comes down to the writer. An original fiction isn't better than a fanfiction just because it's original. It can still suck. It's like what Bella Screaming says. It's all about how the author writes the story.
Don't diss fanfiction on a whole, it doesn't deserve it. There are some out there that should be made into novels, I'm certain. Original stories can be just as bad.
So you know: I'm not saying all fanfiction's are of a great standard, but there are many good writers out there that can write fanfiction.
Um, yeah. About the fanfiction, Mibba was originally inhabited by fanfiction writers from two other sites. It is a creative writing website, but there is no reason someone can't be creative with someone else's work. In fact, there are some published authors who encourage fanfiction. There are just as many cliche ripoffs of original fiction as there are of fanfiction. A story is as only good as an author.
To bold, put the letter B in [ brackets ]. Then, to stop the bolding (if that's even a word), put /b in [ brackets ]. To italicize, use the letter I instead of B. Fanfiction's just using celebrities as characters. Original plots are a huge part of fanfiction. Go check something of mine out. It may have cliche moments, but it won't be a whole cliche story. (Not Impressed for example.)
Fanfiction can be just a movie with another character added. Or it can be completely new adventures with movie characters and original characters. Or it can be band members living lives that they obviously doesn't live in reality.
Fanfiction can be just as great as original fiction, it all comes down to the authors.
