My grandmother is getting eye surgery very soon - Comments

v.Yes,I understand what you're saying. Yes,she really doesn't want to go blind. She is very upset! She just told me she took an hour just to take my cousin to K Mart and my cousin was laughing at her trying to direct her where to go.

v I'm aware that sometimes you can be born being blind, but your grandmother, like I've said before, wasn't. That's all I was trying to say. And wow. She really doesn't want to be blind, does she? I understand, I mean, I wouldn't want to either. But shooting yourself? Now I know why your mother is upset.

v.She is very close to being blind though. Sometimes it is naturally but some people turn out lucky. Not all old people are blind and some just don't expect it. They expect the positive side of things too. She wants to get her vision back but she said she will kill herself if she goes blind. She said she would blow her brains out and shoot herself and my mother was upset. My mother doesn't want that happening. Thank you!^^

1)Of course. It's a natural thing, losing your eyesight when you get older. It's to be expected. Though, not blind. Your grandmother isn't blind, either.
2)I'm not sure, but I hope your grandmother gets her vision back, if it's what she wants.

v.They're either broken apart or lost now because I've asked. She's going to get the surgery then she's going to get 1 pair of glasses. Also,she says it helps her I don't seem to know how. I've never met another person who wears 6 glasses at the same time.

2. If the eye surgery she is having is to get rid of cataracts then she'll be able to see fine afterwards. My grandmother had eye surgery to get rid of her cataracts and she was able to see really well after. Although, her eye sight isn't 20/20 but that's because she had a stroke previously so it affected her eyesight.

I'm sure the surgery will go well.

2. My mom got it done, she has 20/20 vision now. Why would it only give you some?

I would guess they only need a strong perscription if they have horrible eyesight...
