    goaty I agree with all gods are the same god in each religion. Weather worshiping multiple or one god they are basically worshiping the ultimate creator weather it be represented differently from religion to religion it would still be the one all mighty force. And the different gods just represent different faces or aspects of god and his/her/it's powers. And for the most part all religions are the same because they are just different paths to the same destination.

    OH MY GOD I know right? My best guy friend is against bis and gays *cough* Im bi and he knows, and his best argument was "I just don't think it's right so I don't support it. Im not going to treat you different, or go out and rally but if I had to vote on same sex marriages I would say no."

    I tried arguing it but hes so stubborn this is just one of those things we are polar opposite on.

    Bella: Exactly! Who would want to believe a God, who was supposed to love you unconditionally, would hate you and damn you to hell in the very place you stand, because you were different or some people didn't like you? Hell would fill up quickly.

    Goat Naw, I love you too. :)

    v. Exactly. I mean, I may not be religious, but if I was I wouldn't want to believe in a God that'd condemn or hate me for something like that.

    Jesus and God love everyone, no matter what you do. You may sadden them or make them unhappy with the things you do, but they'll love you unconditionally. People who believe God hates others is ignorant.
    I agree with Goat and Bella I was raised in a Christian home, but my mother always told me God loved everyone and that I should treat everyone the same, no matter what.

    Good on us for having a nice discussion about this without hurting anyone's feelings or being rude. We rule.

    Bella; You are, and I do love you. :)

    We make mistakes. I talk to my god about it all the time. I love him. I know that he knows that we are small, we are confused, we are trying. And that's all that matters.

    Bella;

    That's what's important. You've got the right idea there.

    rose;

    And since only one can be right, then they can't all be the same, right? And you can't just pray to all gods that are out there and hope whichever one is right takes mercy on you or something. I don't think that's how it works.

    Goat, there is only one religion that's right. Think about, if all religions were right it would be chaos. So maybe I'm wrong or maybe your wrong. Who's ever God exists hears us pray anyway.
    V I lie sometimes too. For me it's compulsive. I try though, I apologize and right it afterwards. The lie isn't my falut but what I do after that is.

    Goat For the record I'm actually not religious, but I'm very openminded to people's opinions and beliefs. I think it's unavoidable to sin, actually, but like I said we won't be struck down upon because we sometimes tell a lie. As long as we're trying not to lie, then I think it's okay to slip up sometimes.

    And I believe lying is wrong, same with murder and all that jazz obviously, only because... that's not the kind of person I want to be. To me it doesn't have to do with God, but just that I want to be a better person than that and I want to help others. Yes, obviously sometimes I do slip up and sometimes I do "wrong", but I aspire NOT to do wrong. :)

    Johnny;

    I think people can be good without religion. I'm not saying someone who isn't religious can have a good sense of right and wrong.

    Goat: But what about someone who's not religious? Take me, for example. I don't believe in any god, but I still think lying, stealing and killing is wrong. It's not because the Bible says so. It's because it's so integrated in our society that it's common knowledge.

    Bella;

    I agree that some sins are worse than others, but I also think we should avoid all of them, even if some are much more easily avoidable. For instance, I may have to work not to lie or fib, but I'm certainly not struggling to hurt other people physically or mentally. But though sins are different, God forgives them all the same.

    Boob-five.

    v I do, but that doesn't mean our religions or our gods are the same. We all try to please our gods. That doesn't make them the same god.

    Goat, we really are the same. I mean, I pray and I worship and I try to be a good person so as to please Apollo. You do the same for God, don't you?
    Bella, sin just leaves a taste in my mouth I don't like. People seem to look onto it with hate. I guess it's not the word but the connotation.

    Goat Right on sista'! -boob high five- x]

    And I'm agreeing that sinners isn't a hateful word in itself because we're ALL sinners. However, there's a difference between lying to your mum about where you were on Saturday and raping children - for example. I believe there's different levels of sins, but just the word "sin" without being followed by anything else isn't hateful.

    Some might find it offensive, sure, but it's not hateful.

    rose;

    I don't think all religions are the same. I believe Christianity is... I dunno, I guess I believe it's the way to go. The way to happiness, the way to eternal life. God is the one true god.

    Johnny C;

    You could replace 'murder' with any sin in that example I gave. Lying. Cheating. Stealing.

    Bella;

    We're all sinners, yes, but we can all be forgiven, just like you said. If you're truly sorry for something and you ask God for forgiveness, it's forgiveness that you'll receive. :)

    v No, it's really not. I'm a sinner. We're all sinners. We can all still love each other, and God still loves us all.

    vNo. All Christians are sinners and all of them know that. You just have to be forgiven for your sins and you have to be saved to not go to hell.
