Yeah, ear infections are just that. It's an infection and you need to get antibiotics for it. Shaking your head will probably only make the pain worse and do nothing for the infection.

v.That's what I'm about to do but the antibiotics are helping me. The pain is going away. *dances* Yay me! I'll get better in no time. It's such a terrible feeling. But,then I can't sleep at all if I do that. I've tried that.

If it gets worse, just be blunt. Say "Mom, dad, I need to see a doctor NOW because the pain isn't going away."

3. Maybe a week if you actually get prescribed medicine for it.
4. See your doctor. But in the meantime try sleeping on the infected side -- the pressure from the pillow helped me feel better at night.

You're parents are doing what they think is best, but I think you need to convince them to take you to see a doctor. If none of their methods work, they need to take you to a doctor.

Unfortunately I don't think tipping my head back and laughing would be a strong enough reaction.

v.Well,I think my parents are trying their best. If it doesn't go away I'd call for an appointment and I'll go myself if they won't take me. But,hopefully the doctor doesn't say or do what they're saying and doing. But,I can understand what you mean and I bet they would take me very soon.

Because you're in pain. Parents take their children to the doctors when they're in pain for whatever reason. And they think that they can "cure it themselves."

A Change of Pace:Well,I know a few parents that would say things like this because this think they can cure it unless it gets even worse then they would take me. Why do you think they sound like idiots? I went to the doctors the other day for a different reason.

You should probably ask someone.... maybe... a doctor or a pharmasist and they can tell you which medicine...

1. I've had loads, one got so bad that they had to remove a bone from my ear, and I've had several operations because of them. I'm partially deaf in both ears as a result of them and other ear shit.
