I've loved the dark side of vampires ever since i saw buffy the vampire slayer when i was a kid. what makes them so interesting is what they really, truly are. They are the walking dead with strength and speed that could kill anyone in the blink of an eye. Stephenie Meyer may have brought out the more peaceful side of the vampires but that's not all there is to them.

I couldn't agree with you guys any better, I just wanted to make sure that the vampire community hasn't been ruined by the new type of vampires in the world. There should be a mix, and everyone is entitled to an opinon, I love Twilight, but at the same time you can't beat Dracula!

Dracula ftw. Vampires are supposed to be dangerous, ruthless, cold-blooded creatures of the night. NOT sparkling, music-playing, sun-bathing gits.

    Just... no.

I would seriously pick Shiki. But because he is (sadly) not an option Dracula.
I'm a vampire fan too. I won't let something silly like Twilight "ruin" my interest in vampires.

I myself have always adored vampires for what they truly are -- feral, animalistic predators. They're humanoids, and yet they have the stealth and the cunning and the fear-inducing snarls and blood-drenched maws of beasts. I've never loved them because they're always portrayed as the sexy, perfect, mysterious men, but instead, I love them for the ferocious freedom they obtain through gore and lust and violence.

That is my idea of a vampire. As long as they're hazardous and untamed creatures of the night, I dig 'em. Which means I detest so-called vampires that drink synthetic or animal blood, and I don't take kindly to shockingly poised and human vampires with no fangs.

Dracula. I prefer my dead men to burst into flame rather than sparkle. Plus Dracula is a babe, and I totally have a huge poster of him in my room.
