We are all sinners, love. I think you took what I said completely wrong and now you're probably upset about it. I'm sorry. What I meant to say was, I sin, you sin, we all sin, and yes, homosexuality is a sin. It doesn't mean you're a bad person if you're a homosexual! That's between you and God, not between you and I. I will never judge anyone. Never.
Look, you're...completely stuck to your beliefs, but if you want to talk more about this, I will make time to do so. I want you to be in Christ with me. It's a wonderful thing, it really is, and I'd love to share it with you. If not, that's okay, too. Just saying. I'm always here.
*I never once said that you are a homosexual or a drug addict.
See this is why I choose not to be religious. Because I have to talk to people who judge others. Oh so I must be a sinner now just because I dont believe in your god? Wow. And I know for a fact that god does not accept homosexuals because it "states" that "man shall not lie with man" or some crap like that. And excuse me I do not do drugs as clearly stated above, I like how you are so fast to judge someone you barely even know. This is why I am an atheist.
But he does accept us. He accepts sinners, like you. Are you a homosexual, perhaps? He accepts you. Do you do drugs, perhaps? He accepts you. Our God is a forgiving, neverchanging God and he loves you the same no matter what you've done or are currently doing. I don't know what church you went to, but they must have taught wrong--the lord doesn't care if you are who you are. He sees you as a reflection of Jesus Christ, and that's all.
I have done the whole Christian thing when I was younger, eventually I just opened my eyes to see that no such thing exsists. (no offence to you) If a god cant accept me for who I am, than I dont think that this all powerful saint should be able to judge me and send me to hell just because I didn't worship the ground he never walked on. :)
Duh. I know. I meant as in, in my opinion, you don't have to rot in the ground. NO I AM NOT FORCING CHRISTIANITY ON YOU. I'm just saying--it doesn't have to be that way, you know? You don't know for a fact that you'll rot in the ground when you die and then...that's it, no heaven, no hell, no nothing. But if you believed in God, you'd at least have a chance of living eternally in paradise, right...? It's like, you can take it all, or you can just ignore it. It's right there for you, and it's not too late.
Actually, you won't rot in the ground for being an Atheist. But, if you believe that, then be my guest...?
Of course persecution isn't right. I'm not defending it, of course. I hate it just as much as you do. It's not right at all, but it's a fact of human nature; if we can't agree, we argue.
Dr. : It shouldn't have to be that way, people being judged on one aspect of their life. There is alot more to one person than what they choose to believe in or not to believe in. I choose to believe in myself and living for the amount of time I have left on this earth. Then I will rot in the ground. But It's cool to see that some people have so much belief.
A lot of people say that Christians say that Atheists are bad people. And a lot of people say that Atheists say that Christians are bad people or hypocritical people. So? I mean, I'm sorry it happened to you, but persecution is part of every religion.
