I've been in your place every single time I ever liked a guy and had the figurative balls to ask him out. I was rejected everytime, and they were always friends. Hold your head high, sweetheart. And surround yourself with things that make you happy and celebrities that you find ridiculously attractive. It won't stay awkward forever, and it may feel like you ruined a friendship but you haven't. It'll take time to restore it to where it was, but you haven't destroyed it.
