What I do is just put my iPod in, go outside, find a nice quiet spot and pace in circles for a while with the music cranking in my ears. While I'm doing this, I think about what I'd do if I were in my character's situation. It sounds crazy, but it works !

Hey, all you've gotta do is put a thought in your mind that there is no such thing as writers block, because the more you doubt your work and the more you think you won't be able to do it, the reality of it is with that mindset you won't.
I agree with belikov, when i'm struggling to get anywhere with a chapter, or a poem i just do something totally different. A day in the life of is a really good exercise for example writing about the day in the life of a golf ball. :)
i know it sounds daft, they're just little things that get everything going, even reading helps.
    Hope this helps!

If you are having trouble writing, you should try writing something else. Something completely different. It doesn't have to be anything you will post, just something to get your creative juices flowing. That's what I always do.

If you are looking for new inspiration, check out the Writing Prompts thread:

Or the Writing Prompts section on Mibba Magazine. I can link you to two previous columns.
