I had a dream about the Magic Schoolbus!
Which reminded me about that cartoon Franklin, about this turtle. Now there was some good TV.

    v. Mona the Vampiiiiireee. Loved that show.

    Amen just Amen.

I loved the old 90's Cartoons: Hey Arnold, Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, Recess, Mona The Vampire.
Mona the Vampire was and still is my favourite cartoon.

I collected Digimon and Pokemon merchandise. I was like nerding out in first school man, :D I think I still have a digimon keyring and folder somewhere.

    v. Ed, Edd & Eddy was my favourite for ages. That, and Billy and Mandy. :D

Ahh, Real Monsters! I miss that show. Hey Arnold, Doug, CatDog, Powerpuff Girls, Tom & Jerry, Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy, original Pokemon, original Digimon, Rocket Power, Franklin, and Angelina the Ballerina.

I miss the old cartoons. And All That and Keenan & Kel. *sigh* <3

Angry Beavers was my favorite. Shows 10 years ago were honestly so much better than now. Everything's all 'lets be nice, lets save the world, lets recycle'

Back then, it was all just fun, no lessons attached.

Animaniacs, Captain Planet, Batman: The Animated Series, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, The Weekenders, and Ed, Edd, n' Eddy are a few more to name ;)

I feel bad for my little cousins, who are 6 and 3, that have to grow up with these horrible shows. They need to bring back the old cartoons.

Does anyone else remember Digimon? Dreaming in Shadow you mentioned Pokémon and it reminded me.

I think we really all agree how much telly was when we were kids. And I definatly agree with you said about kids liking shows more aimed at 12/13 year olds. (Yet people still wonder at why kids are "growing up too fast")

I think it should be a human right to supply every child with (the old) Cartoon Network as a kid. I know that sounds ridiculous and if you take it seriously very bratty indeed but I love it that much.

We had money as a kid, not lots but you're average amount, we haven't had money in a while so we just got our TV back this Christmas and I've been rolling in fond tv-related memories since. Cartoons are beautiful things, man. :D

Ah, I still remember stuff like Tom and Jerry, Loony Tunes, Cartoon Network stuff, the old Rugrats and Scooby-Doo (OK, so it's still going, and it's OK, but it isn't a scratch on what I remember (and I don't know what it was like when my mum first saw it). Man, I miss the theme-tune. :( )

Oh, and anime like Pokemon (also dropped in quality),
Digimon, Beyblade, Yugi-Oh (new versions are lame)
    and Cardcaptor Sakura.

What seems to be popular with kids today is something I would expect older children and/or young teenagers to take an interest in.

I never had cartoon network of boomerang when I was younger, not until I was about 10 or 11, so I dont have as fond memories.
But yes, Wild Thornberries. When I found out it was Tim Curry who did the voice of Nigel last year I jizzed a little.

    Oh God, Hey Arnold Smiley

I was a Cartoon Network kid growing up, that and boomerang [I don't know where else you get that channel aside from the UK]. I loved old Nickelodeon, with that really rubbish jingle - y'know the one I'm talking about?

    The Wild Thornberrys, yo.
    DEXTER'S LABORATORY, TOO.

I loved Arthur, I just couldn't remember the name of the show. There's so many shows I could add in now, I've been looking through people on youtubes videos about their fave shows of the 90's and I've just remembered so many I loved.

    Lovebender
Ahhh, they were, still are to a point.
Pinky and the Brain I loved.

Tom and Jerry, and the Loony Tunes were my drug when I was young.
