    Well I don't have perciings and it is hard for me to get a job. You have to look at a lot of things when looking for one. For starters you need to look professional and second Facebook. But still though she was out of line and got lucky that once assuming you were getting an application.

    The piercing thing is a matter of looking professional. If you work in any job where you interact with customers face-to-face, the employer is going to expect you to maintain a professional appearance--and nice as facial piercings can look, they just don't look professional. It's unfair, but it does make sense. (Try telemarketing. I know several people with their faces "all poked out" and funky colored hair and everything.)

    That lady was just out of line though. One, the obvious racism, two, the degrading tone to someone she didn't know, and three, it's not like you were talking to her or including her in your application in any way so her opinion was un-asked for and highly unwelcome. But mostly the racism thing. Dumb broad.
