Truthfully, there are lots of stories that are rather cliche but still have good plot with their own twist to it. Like I said earlier, it depends how you write it that makes it refreshing or just good. But from that dream, it seems like a rather good story to read. It does give a vibe of wanting to know more of what happened afterwards, so that is a plus. Interesting, yes; cliche plotline, not so far.

I have red hair! I love it. :) It tends to fade out fast when you first dye it but after a while it sticks with you. Only warm or cold water when washing it or it destroys your hair.

Eh, just to warn you, sometimes when you base your story on dreams, it won't be as you visualized it. Any plot is a good story; it just depends on how you write it that makes it a possibly good story. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable. And no, you're not messed-up in the head. I have rare dreams that occur rather unusual. In some of my dreams, I don't even know some of the people in it, yet I knew them in some form or way, but they are so vivid and life-like as if I was living a different life. But then when I wake up, I completely forget it (very rare for me to remember sometimes). It's a blur but I did get the gist of it.

Make sure you wash your hair in cold water, after that point. The chemicals in red hair dye are really harsh on hair, and tend to fry it in the first place; warm or hot water used to wash it after that point will just dry it out even more. (Trust me.)
