Tattoo later. Need advice. - Comments

  • Thank you<3
I put up another journal which has pictures of it.
It was quite sore, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Also I was expecting the whole to be very red after I got it done, but its only really a little bit around the words. I was told how to look after it, but you guys have definitely given me some good little extra tips. Thank you<3 I hopw you all check it out and tell me what you think ;D?xxx

  • Pure Vitamin E for after care. I have 3 tattoos and used it for all three. Of course though the tattoo artist will maybe say differently.

  • Thank you <3 And yes what she said, if it does start to peel please dont pick at it. And like others have said the artist will tell you all of this so not to worry :) Good luck! So exciting!!

  • I heard if they cover it you should remove it in any hour. Pretty much just until the bleeding stops.

My hint is when it starts peeling/itching DO NOT PEEL IT OFF. You'll probably think 'oh, well, it's going to come off anyway'. Don't peel it. Just let it happen.

  • Aftercare is pretty basic. I mean all I did for both my tattoos was make sure they were washed and after a couple of days I started applying lotion. If your artist is a good artist he'll tell you all of this and more.
If he or she saran wraps your tattoo then remove the saran wrap almost immediately. You do NOT want to suffocate your tattoo, it needs air.

  • And Dayna, I checked out your tattoo. AWESOME<3! xxx

  • I was thinking about using Vaseline, but I wasn't sure, but now that you've said that it makes me feel happier and confident about using it, thank you(:
Well guys, like 5 minutes away from the place I'm getting it done at. As soon as it's done I'll take a picture and I'll put it up as soon as I get home. Thank you for all your help. It's good that I can post my questions somewhere and get good, fast answers, i know what I'll be doing if I have anymore questions ;)<3!

  • I hope all goes well :) Tell us how everything went. For the after care I used vaseline, nothing harsh, but they will definitely tell you that. I got my first tattoo a few years ago its on my profile. But just like everyone said, take care of it :) I would love to see it too :) And I am planning on getting a new one soon, and I am totally excited for it :)

  • It depends on how meaty you are in that area if it's directly over bone and your skinny =/ well it's gonna hurt a bit more.

The only thing I can suggest is don't put lotion on it I see some first timers use lotion to keep it moist when your suppose to use Vaseline. Don't scratch at it either or use any harsh soaps when you wash.

  • I hope it will look good<3.

  • I can't take Advil because I react to it, but I'll take something pretty much the exact same, thanks<3.
Yes, I've had something to eat and drink. I'm leaving to go get it done in 10 minutes. I'm so excited.
Thanks for the help(: Hopefully it will turn out great;D!

  • Also take a couple of Advil or something before hand to help lessen the pain a bit.

Eat before you go and drink something as well. You do not want to pass out.

Good luck with it. It will hurt but never as much as you think.

  • Oh okay. I will hopefully be able to handle it:L!
Loose clothing, never thought about that. And yeah, I wasn't planning on showing it off too much, I'm sorry if this sounds self-centred or big-headed, I don't mean to be but I don't want to show it off that much in case someone kinda copies me D:
Because I've had this idea since I was like 12, and if someone just took it, I would cry :(

  • A 6 or 7. It's directly on bone. >.<
Don't pick at it, don't rub it, wear loose clothing, don't let people touch it, just try not to show it off to much either or you'll be called a posing loser. People are cruel that way.
