Though a myth with an Emilyesque twist would be super cool, I think you should go with an original - although, since you already have a base set in the fairytales, those might be easier to write. Either way, I like Doves At Her Feet best.
"Seventh Daughter" and "The Dark Descent" are stories I haven't read from you, so they could be a nice change, but if you ask me, feel free to choose the one that sparkles your creativity the most. Self-criticism is sometimes productive, but don't beat yourself with a stick just because you find your writing/ideas lacking. It is truly awesome (your writing I mean). So great in fact sometimes I just want to rip open your head and steal all the ideas from within. ;)
Either 'The Seventh Daughter,' or 'The Dark Descent' from me.
I must say, it's particularly wonderful to find a girlie who isn't convinced that arranged marriages in the name of gaining money or class end with sunshine and lollipops. I mean, often the ones from places which still use this system do because it's often based on personality and the kids have been raised close to each other are a lot less... bratty, than online fiction portrays all Americans and unfortunate Brits to be. Fortunately, no one has yet targeted people from Scotland, despite our lovely country and accents. Probably because of all the neds.
This turned into quite a little rant. Apologies have been sent via toast.
I don't think it really matters what I - or any one for that matter - wants. The only thing that counts is what inspires YOU. I hope you find some inspiration soon because something you're so passionate about shouldn't cause such grief.
Either The Dark Decent, Seventh Daughter, Aislinn of the West. I like those ones the most and most of all sounded good was The Dark Decent. I guess I like stories like that, haha, but, ya, anyways it doesn't really matter. Your a great writer so I'll basically read anything. Haha. But it has to have romance! Haha.
