I participated and kept silent for hours. A lot of kids at school did it and the talkers were generally quiet. Some kids couldn't do it for the day, but a lot did. No one acted like it was a disgusting things and people were supportive of the silent people.

I didn't do the DoS this year. I was alone all day, would have been pointless. You know?

I don't know how much I support the DoS anymore though. I've been looking back on my experience and from talking to others... I just don't know if the DoS actually does anything helpful. Being gay myself, I've been through the harshest of discrimination and I'm a total activist for equality for homosexuals, but from my experiences, I just don't think the DoS does too much to raise awareness. I'm so torn on this day anymore. >.<

But on a brighter note, good job. You stayed strong through all of the harassment, that's a very good accomplishment and shows how dedicated you are to this cause. (:

I was going to do it, but we didn't have school today (spring break) and I've been home alone all day. So....
