I'm glad you saw the verbal abuse for what it really was, but what about your cutting? If your Mom knows and she isn't trying to help you or do anything about it, then I would consider that child abuse as well. I used to have a cutting problem way back when. I was around 13 or 14. I never tired the rubber band technique or anything- I'm not so sure how I stopped. Considering, my arms were so cut up that I had to wear a hoodie in the Florida summer- if you know anything about Florida's climate it will get up to 105 degrees and I enjoyed being outside a lot. I'm not even sure to this day how I quit, all I know is that I did. If you need anyone to talk to I'm here, just send me a message and I'll try to help you as much as possible. I hope all things aside that things go well for you.

I'm glad you realize that what they were saying was abusive.

I used to cut, and I went through the whole rubber band phase, too. It doesn't really help that much. I really, really advise you to seek counseling (if your parents will allow it...if not, that's a different story, and you can PM me about it.) Also, I'm here to talk to if you ever need someone to do that with. I can relate, so you're safe saying whatever you need to whilst we talk.

I wish you all the best and I really do feel for you. Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. Stay positive.
