AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Harold Camping is a nutjob!

But on a serious note, he really needs to re-read the Bible. I'm not religious, but I know that it's stated at least once that only God knows when Judgement Day will happen.

Harold Camping is like the best scammer. He scammed many people out of their life savings, people paid him millions so he would "save" them. He's pretty much like one of the best scammers.

Oh, Camping. The brunt of every joke at school. Guy needs to get a reality check. :/

It's a shame you've been getting a hard time from others about it, though. Ignore the people who are bothering you about it, as they obviously need to find something better to do with their time. :P

But I think, no matter what religion you are (or aren't), you're going to be stereotyped for it. I've experienced many an awkward situation when someone finds out that I'm atheist and then immediately proceeds to trash Christianity. I then have to get them to understand the concept that it's possible to be atheist and still respect religion. And that's other non-believers doing it. It's really a shame, but it's just something we have to live with.

I am Christian, but I am not a homophobic person. Is that against the bible? Not to be rude, or anything.

I'm not trying to judge, but Christians are one of the most extreme religious groups there is. Not all are, like you've said, but a lot are just over the top. And plus, they get a lot of media coverage, because some of their actions are rash and thoughtless. But thats the deal with all religions.
