@sunset explosion i think melatonin only works for some. i know personally it makes me feel kind of sick and disgusting, my friend danny also gets that way. however, it works perfectly well for his mother. i never knew a prescription was needed, i thought melatonin was a natural substance. at least that's how they sell it here in new york.
personally, i think reading is a good thing to make you tired. i know that when my sleep cycle is at the no sleeping half i lie in bed and make up stories in my head; that usually makes me a bit tired. i hope i helped a tiny bit /:
Insomnia...I had it my sophomore year. I'm in the last week of my junior year. I got over it by going on a ten day roadtrip with my friends and going to camp for a week and my sleeping schedule readjusted because during the day I got so tired that I ended up falling asleep alright. I wish I had advice.
9.35am here. Not slept. Won't be until tonight. This is very common for me. I used to take drugs to help me sleep but my school kept complaining that I was drowsy.
"When you have insomnia, you're never really asleep.... and you're never really awake."
True True even those who claim to never cram stuff are usually lying or not telling the truth to some extent. Once fall hits if I do decide to start college this year I'm pretty sure the work I do there will be slightly more difficult. I may have a lot of math to do which is my weakest point even now.
I think everybody is a little guilty of cramming, that's what I did last week for finals. It's actually the only way I can properly study, I'm not motivated enough if I have ample time. It's a bad quality but I do best under a little pressure. At least you'll be done after this week and don't have to deal with so much stress
Your welcome. I'm always willing to give advice to others with sleeping issues. It's never fun to deal with unless of course you have a weeks worth of homework to do in one night but that's different. :)
Ok, thanks! That's my main concern about going on pills or medicine of any kind, the side effects. At least those supplements don't have any because I could really use them haha
Sleeping supplements may work, my doctor prescribed Melatonin a couple years back for me. Unfortunately they stopped helping so I quit taking them. Now I just sit up on the computer or read until I fall asleep. It's 3:24am where I live.
