You cant reverse things, and you cant go exactly back to the way you were. Things are going to change, even if only slightly. If you haven't already, explain that it was a mistake and you regret it 100%. Also, give him time. What if you were in his spot? You would want time, wouldn't you? Just give him a while, he should come around, and, if not, it was never meant to be.
