A lot of people write fanfiction because it's more appealing. They enjoy writing about their favorite person/series/character more than writing an original fiction. It's just a matter of personal opinion, a lot of people on mibba just prefer FF over OF.

Maybe the users are running out of original ideas and they're getting their creativity flowing. Or there are more fan fiction writers than originals on the site.
