Here's something interesting, and you can definitely use it when you're trying to convince homophobes that being gay is okay:
The bible also states that eating pork is an abomination, as homosexuality is an abomination. That's why Jews are Kosher... Christians eat pork, don't they? So, try and explain the difference between being gay and eating bacon, if God declares them both to be an abomination.

for all those who thot i meant tht god hates gays, I DIDNT SAY THAT. i said that u will not get into heaven if u r gay. he loves everyone. i agree i could have worded it better. i believe that *darkest storm* described it perfectly. and honestly, this is about religion, not my lazy grammar

U can't be both. U know all the verses, and everything, and the bible is very clear about it, and when it refers to a man, it also refers to the woman too. It's not a sin to have feelings like that, but it's just a sin to act on them. Your aunt may be right, because these things happen when people are abused, althought it may not be only because of that, but I think that may be a part of it. Anyways, I would say just keep trusting in God.

@God Eat God, Yeah, times change, but sin is still sin, no matter how much time changes. Murder was a sin since the beginning of the earth, and it still is. Sin never changes.

The Lovely Bones: I think you could have gone about that a lot better. Starting with your grammar and punctuation... Anyway, it's not for us to decide if a person will go to Hell or not. We don't have control over that and we certainly do not know what God will do. Oh, and God doesn't hate anyone. He hates the sin.

Ari-chan: There's more to getting into Heaven than just believing in Jesus. There's baptism, repentance, doing God's will, following the commandments, trying to stop sin, etc.

An issue with homosexuality is that people continue to do that. After you're saved you're supposed to try to stop sinning and be like Jesus. Being homosexual is continuing to sin and it's hard to repent for that because it's continuous. I don't think homosexuality is bad if you don't act on it. Thoughts are okay but actually being in a relationship and stuff makes it wrong.

Also, due to Jesus' crucifixion, we don't follow the old law of Moses anymore. Except for the ten commandments which are mentioned in the New Testament. Oh, and there is no Galatians 19...

You of course can be bisexual and a Christian. You don't have to believe everything in the bible. I know a few people who don't believe homosexuality is a sin. Now my religion is unknown but I think people should be allowed to be whatever religion they want regardless of their sexual orientation.

The Lovely Bones Not only that you sound like an ignorant, you also write like one.

I just love how people think they can decide what their God feels and thinks about different people. If your God is all about love and generosity - How come he loves everyone and hates the Homosexuals/Bisexuals/Etc? Isn't that a little bit contradictory? Or is he just a hypocrite?

    Give me a fucking break.

i'm christian but my mom taught me that everyone is equal no matter their race, religion, sex, color, or sexuality. personally i think the bible has been revised so many times i don't know what to believe. (then again i've never read it i prefer horror stories) if you like girls there's nothing you can do about it. its a part of who you are but people shouldn't judge you as a whole because of one small detail about yourself. and i agree with Airi-chan. God does say that he loves everyone and that all sins are equal and if you trust in Jesus you'll go to Heaven. it seems to me that when homosexuality and bisexuality came out everyone was suddenly all "oh oh sin guess you're going to hell now" never mentioning that one statement everyone gets drilled into their heads one way or another but.....society makes me want to push them off a cliff onto pointy rocks sometimes... and no offense to the Bible or extremely religious people but its views are very old fashioned. its a different day and age with new beliefs. but yeah back to your problem. you shouldn't worry about it. just stay true to yourself and do what you think is right people will hate. its what they do. just remember that its your life not theirs and they can't force you to be anybody else.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't believing Jesus is your savior, isn't that all you need to get sent to heaven despite whether you sin or not? So what makes us gays so undeserving of heaven, even if they believe in God and Jesus? If this user believes in God and Jesus, doesn't the Bible say that is enough to get into heaven? I apologize if I am stepping out of bounds here, but I simply can't stand it when someone acts like homosexuality is the worst sin out there, when the Bible says all sin is equal. And since you mentioned me, I figured I'd respond. (:

The Bible is wrong you shouldn't be punished for loving someone whether they're male or female

If priests can violate children and still be Christian
Then you can be gay or bi and still be a Christian!

the Bible is clear: sleeping with another woman or if ur a man another man, is an abomination to his name. you CANNOT be a christian and bi or gay at the same time. i understand having feelings for another of the same sex, but having feelings, and acting upon those feelings are two VERY different things. and here i differ with Airi chan completely. God may not HATE u for loving the same sex, but he certainly wont let u into heaven if u die gay or bi. and common sense is needed when he says "man this..and man cannot that" he is paraphrasing to women as well. he doesnt have to spell eveything out for us. im apologize if i sound offensive, tht is soo not my intention. but seeing as no one here was defending the bible and God's holy word, i felt i needed to.

You don't need to believe the Bible word for word hun. If you don't believe homosexuality is a sin, then don't believe it. You can still be a Christian and not believe everything in the Bible. Homosexuality isn't wrong, don't let yourself feel ashamed of it due to your religion. You can be a perfectly good Christian while being into girls as well.

I myself struggled with accepting my sexuality, it's not an easy task but you can do it. Just remember that god wouldn't hate you for who you fall in love with. He would want you to be happy and be true to yourself. I'm not religious though, so maybe it doesn't mean much coming from me. But I've been confident in myself and out for a few years now, so if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm always here. (:

I can relate with the bisexuality, but not with religion...I used to believe strongly in God and pray daily, but things happened over time that made me give up on Him...but that's not the issue.

Honestly, the Bible was written in a different time...we don't stone people anymore, and we don't sacrifice animals, or any of that stuff...so, why cn't we be bi or gay?

It's just like how black people used to be enslaved and hated...well, they aren't anymore.

    my point is time's change.
