i've listened to them all of my life because of my daddy, so i have no holy day. xD
every day's a holy daaaaaaaaay.

same thing with me only with MCR

there is a quote my sister's friend wrote a while ago and I still love it too this day: "My parents taught me how to ride a bike, and tie my shoes,
and morals that I'll never use.
But Green Day taught me how to stand up for my beliefs and carry on through critisism, because in the end, all you have is you."

You took the words right out of my mouth/heart.
So true for me too.
They saved me too. and they'll always be my favourite band in the world.
I listened to a few of their songs when I was seven, but I was never alowed to download music...then I discovered them again a few months after American Idiot came out,
and yes, they changed me too. I would never like ANY of the bands I like today if it wern't for them,
and I wouldn't write songs, I wouldn't have the amazing friends that I do...
and I would probably be dead by now..because them and all the other bands that I found because of them helped me through soo many hard times that I could not have survived without them.
I totally agree with you 100%
